What do we do when a client’s inspiration for their home is ‘Montana Hacienda’?

Research! We started this project by analyzing what makes a hacienda-style home unique to its place and identifying style commonality with traditional Northern Rockies home design. Focusing on the essence of traditional hacienda features, our Montana Hacienda home embraces regional materials, traditional architectural forms, and local, hand-crafted elements throughout the home. In plan, building wings define outdoor living spaces that blur the line between interior and exterior. Generous roof overhangs shelter the interior from the elements while thoughtful fenestration and covered outdoor spaces at both levels foster indoor-outdoor gathering and capturing breezes throughout the year.
