Park Overlook House

The Park Overlook House is a whole-house remodel for a couple, one of whom grew up in the home, to transform it into their own and address shortcomings with the layout.  With relatively small window openings primarily facing adjacent homes, the house did not capture views of the surrounding mountains or the overlook to the natural park below.  New windows openings, reorganization of plan, a dormer addition, and optimized spaces for living connect interior spaces to the outdoors and frame amazing views.  Further strengthening this connection is the custom casework, carefully selected materials, and a color palette that reflects the lush forest and hillside grasses beyond, creating a cozy and inviting interior. What was once a home stuck in the past is now a home with a timeless design and expansive views.
